Ο καιρός ψιλοχάλασε. Έβρεξε για αρκετό διάστημα εχθές στο δυτικό νησί και σήμερα όλη μέρα, πρώτη φορά μετά από πολύ καιρό, ο ουρανός ήταν διάσπαρτα συννεφιασμένος με μέτρια ισχυρό βοριά.
Πραγματικά έχει γεμίσει ο κόσμος από Σταχτομυγοχάφτες (Muscicapa striata) και νεαρούς Αετομάχους (Lanius collurio). Κάπως κοινό ήταν σήμερα το απόγευμα o Βουνοτσιροβάκος (Sylvia curruca). Ευτυχώς για αλλαγή είδα 3 Κοκκινούρηδες (Phoenicurus phoenicurus) και μια Ωχροκελάδα (Anthus campestris).
Και ξεκινώ με τα τριγύρω γιατί η Αλυκή Καλλονής είναι λίγο δράμα… (με δεδομένα, βέβαια, τα εκατοντάδες Φοινικόπτερα, Αβοκέτες και οι δεκάδες ερωδιοί…). Τα ενδιαφέροντα ήταν:
1 Αργυροπελεκάνος (Pelecanus crispus)
24 Πετροτριλίδες (Burhinus oedicnemus)
1 Βαλτότρυγγας (Tringa stagnatilis)
3 Πρασινοσκελήδες (Tringa nebularia)
12 Νανοσκαλίδρες (Calidris minuta)
2 Δρεπανοσκαλίδρες (Calidris ferruginea)
1 Αργυροπούλι (Pluvialis squatarola)

Autumn has reached Lesvos, at last. It did rain yesterday at the western island and today was cloudy and windy (N wind).
The place is full of Spotted Flycatchers (Muscicapa striata) and Young Red-backed Shrikes (Lanius collurio). A rather common species for the day was Lesser Whitethroat. Fortunatelly, for a change, I saw 3 Redstars (Phoenicurus phoenicurus) and a Tawny Pipit (Anthus campestris).
I am starting by describing the condition in the fields above the pans for the pans were a bit of a disappointment… (taking for granted the hundreds of Flamingos and Avocets and the tens of egrets and herons…). Here are some interesting sightings:

1 Marsh Sandpiper (Tringa stagnatilis)
3 Green Shanks (Tringa nebularia)
12 Little Stints (Calidris minuta)
2 Curlew Sandpipers (Calidris ferruginea)
1 Grey Plover (Pluvialis squatarola)
