13 March, Kalloni Salt Pans FIELDS| 13 Μαρτίου, Λιβάδια Αλυκής Καλλονής

Καθώς κατευθυνόμουν κάτω από την Αλυκή Καλλονής, σήμερα, σκεφτόμουν πως σίγουρα είναι η μέρα της Σταχτάρας… Κατά την επιστροφή από τη θάλασσα προς τον κεντρικό δρόμο, μισή ώρα μετά, το σκηνικό είχε αλλάξει και αναμφίβολα έγινε η μέρα του Σταυλοχελίδονου! Να τι άλλο ενδιαφέρον είδα σήμερα:

3 Γερανοί (Grus grus)- ακόμα εδώ για 2η μέρα

12 Σαρσέλες (Anas querquedula)

32 Μαχητές (Philomachus pugnax)

60 Σταχτάρες (Apus apus)

3 Οχθοχελίδονα (Riparia riparia)- 1η καταγραφή για αυτή την Άνοιξη

90+ Σταυλοχελίδονα (Hirundo rustica)

1 Μιλτοχελίδονο (Hirundo daurica)- μόνο του… 1η καταγραφή για αυτή την Άνοιξη

70+ Σπιτοχελίδονα (Delichon urbicum)

1 Κιτρινοσουσουράδα (Motacilla flava feldeg)

1 Αετογερακίνα (Buteo rufinus)

1 Χειμωνόκιρκος (Circus cyaneus)

1 Πετρίτης (Falco peregrinus)

While moving below the Kalloni Salt Pans I was thinking today is definately the day of the Swift… While returning from the sea to the main road, half an hour later, the scene had changed and the day became without doubt the one of the Barn Swallow! Here is what else I saw today:

3 Cranes (Grus grus)- still here for the 2nd day

12 Garganeys (Anas querquedula)

32 Ruffs (Philomachus pugnax)

60 Swifts (Apus apus)

3 Sand Martins (Riparia riparia)- the 1st for me this Spring

90+ Barn Swallows (Hirundo rustica)

1 Red-rumped Swallows (Hirundo daurica)- all alone… the 1st for me this Spring

70+ House Martins (Delichon urbicum)

1 Yellow Wagtail (Motacilla flava feldeg)

1 Long-legged Buzzard (Buteo rufinus)

1 Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus)

1 Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus)
