Χιόνισε πολύ, έβρεξε πολύ και τα χωράφια από την πάνω μεριά του κεντρικού δρόμου βόρεια της Αλυκής είναι πλημμυρισμένα κανονικά, στις 21/01. Όχι μόνον αυτό αλλά τα νέα υγροτοπάκια έχουν και επισκέπτες! Κοκκινοσκέληδες, Λασποσκαλίδρες, Νανοσκαλίδρες, Δασότρυγγες και …2 Κεδρότσιχλες, που κάθονται ήρεμα για φωτογράφηση- προφανώς έχοντας συνηθίσει το συνεχές πέρασμα αυτοκινήτων.
Ένας από τους 25 περίπου Κοκκινοσκέληδες, μάλιστα, ήταν μαρκαρισμένος με χρωματιστό δαχτυλίδι και “σημαιάκι”. Μετά από αναζήτηση στα υπάρχοντα προγράμματα δακτυλίωσης για το είδος και κοινοποίησης της φωτογραφίας σε σχετικά γκρουπ στο Facebook (CR- birding) βρέθηκε η άκρη. Το πουλί είχε δακτυλιωθεί στις 19 Απριλίου 2014 στη Νότια Λευκορωσία (Turov κοντά στον ποταμό Pripyat ) και βρίσκεται στη Λέσβο για διαχείμαση.

It snowed and rained much all January and the fields above the Kalloni Salt Pans main road on the north are flooded to a great extend ον 21/1. And most importantly the newly formed wetlands have inhabitants! Redshanks, Dunlins, Little Stints, Green Sandpipers and even 2 Fieldfares, staying calmly as the cars passed by.
One of the 25 Redshanks was tagged with a colour ring and a flag. After searching among the existing colour ring schemes for the species in Europe,I decided to get help from the Facebook group about colour-ringing (CR- birding). Half an hour later I got the response that the birds was ringed on the 19th of April 2014 in South Belarus (Turov Meadows near the Pripyat River).
