29 May, NE coast of the Kalloni Gulf| 29 Μαΐου, ΒΑ παράλια Κ. Καλλονής

Μπόρες στις 27 και 28 και σήμερα σχετικό κρύο (μέχρι 23 βαθμούς) και συννεφιά. Η αλλαγή του καιρού έκανε πολλά κοπάδια από Σταχτάρες (Apus apus), Μελισσοφάγους (Merops apiaster) και Σπιτοχελίδονα (Delichon urbicum) να περνάνε χαμηλά. Ακολουθούν οι πιο ενδιαφέρουσες παρατηρήσεις σε παράκτιες περιοχές στο Βόρειο τμήμα του Κόλπου Καλλονής:

ΑΛΥΚΗ ΚΑΛΛΟΝΗΣ

8 Βαρβάρες (Tadorna tadorna), 26 Καστανόπαπιες (Tadorna ferruginea)

2 Σκουφοβουτηχτάρια (Podiceps cristatus), στη θάλασσα κάτω από την Αλυκή

9 Λευκοτσικνιάδες (Egretta garzetta), 4 Σταχτοτσικνιάδες (Ardea cinerea)

7 Λευκοπελαργοί (Ciconia ciconia), 2 Μαυροπελαργοί (C. nigra)

5 Μαυροκιρκίνεζα (από τις 27 Μαΐου, 1 Βραχοκιρκίνεζο (Falco tinnunculus)

380+ Φλαμίνγκο (Phoenicopterus ruber)

2 Πετροτουρλίδες (Burhinus oedicnemus)

4 Ποταμοσφυριχτές (Charadrius dubius), 5 Θαλασσοσφυριχτές (Charadrius alexandrinus)

6 Δρεπανοσκαλίδρες (Calidris ferruginea), 1 Λαπότρυγγας (Tringa glareola)

1 Πρασινοσκέλης (Tringa nebularia), 1 Λιμόζα (Limosa limosa)

Το έλος Καλάμι έχει ξεραθεί εκτός από την κοίτη του ρέματος χαμηλά και το σημείο πριν την εκδολή του.

ΧΩΜΑΤΟΔΡΟΜΟΣ ΜΕΤΑΞΥ Β. ΠΑΡΑΤΗΡΗΤΗΡΙΟΥ ΑΛΥΚΗΣ ΚΑΙ ΑΓ. ΠΑΡΑΣΚΕΥΗΣ (βοσκοτόπια και αραιοί ελαιώνες)

Good views of at least 3 pairs of Masked Shrikes (Lanius nubicus) and 2 family parties of Sombre Tits (Poecile lugubris).

Rain on 27 and 28 May and relative cool (max 23 °C ), windy (from the North) and overcast weather today. Swifts (Apus apus), Bee-eaters (Merops apiaster), House Martins (Delichon urbicum) seen passing, today. Here are the most interesting sightings around wetlands of the N Kalloni Gulf:

KALLONI SALT PANS

8 Shelducks (Tadorna tadorna), 26 Ruddy Shelducks (Tadorna ferruginea)

2 Great Crested Grebes (Podiceps cristatus), in the sea below the pans

9 Little White Egrets (Egretta garzetta), 4 Grey Herons (Ardea cinerea)

7 White Storks (Ciconia ciconia), 2 Black Storks (C. nigra)

5 Red-footed Falcons (present since 27 May, 1 Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus)

380+ Flamingos (Phoenicopterus ruber)

2 Stone Curlews (Burhinus oedicnemus)

4 Little Ringed Plovers (Charadrius dubius), 5 Kentish Plovers (Charadrius alexandrinus)

6 Curlew Sandpipers (Calidris ferruginea), 1 Wood Sandpiper (Tringa glareola)

1 Green Shank (Tringa nebularia), 1 Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa)

Several nesting pairs of Avocets and Black-winged Stilts, Little and Common Terns.

MESSA

Kalami Marsh is completely dried except the main canal (just over the bridge) and the pool before the estuary.
