We are allowed to go out for walks and I did so with Stelios Zannetos (we are neighbors!). We just went down to the coast of the town and spend some time watching the sea.
We counted more than 1200 Yelkouan Shearwaters (Puffinus yelkouan), sorry for the distant photo- most probably in the international waters between Greece and Turkey (..!). Also, a Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis), a Sandwich Tern (Sterna sadvicensis), Great Cormorants (Phalacrocorax carbo), Yellow-legged Gulls (Larus michahellis), White Wagtails (Motacilla alba), House Martins (Delichon urbicum), Barn Swallows (Hirundo rustica), a Red-rumped Swallow (Cecropsis daurica), Common Swifts (Apus apus)etc.
The Dolphin was swimming just outside the mouth of the Mitilini port!
